Foundations of Yoga will begin with a gentle warm-up and discuss the importance of breath work before breaking down key poses for any yoga practice. We will explore downward facing dog, mountain pose, cobra vs upward facing dog, child’s pose, sun salutations and variations, the warrior series, standing poses and hip openers. Modifications for key poses will be given throughout.
We will end our workshop with a brief exploration of yin yoga and how it might benefit your practice. Our time together will culminate by finding the perfect, comforting, and relaxing savasana for your body, followed by light refreshments and discussion.
